Dust 2 is a conversion map from Counter-Strike originally called "de_dust2" and was a project designed/created for the members of the trP Gaming Community, which is basically the most favorite CS:S map within the community.
The map was also created since EC needed some additional models without consuming a lot of hours just for modding/mapping. It was just taken a bit further from the original plan and recreated the full map to be played with Left 4 Dead.
A lot of work went into the map, more than just extracting all the correct models and adding some L4D items/entities. The whole map had to be optimized drastically since the original map was created for an older style of the Valve Source Engine and consumed all the time placed into the map thus far, besides adding the weapons, items, and a lot of Nav Mesh creating/editing.
Screenshots will be posted shortly to show others how the map is going, which is in Alpha v2.0 stage at this point.
EC Mods
This page will list all mods/maps being created by the Eternal Crisis team. Most maps are currently in Alpha versions and are not distributed widely without permission and under volunteer for Alpha and Beta map testing. This page will attempt to stay updated along with each maps version/update to help inform every the status of the maps progresses.
Although most maps may or may not have "Eternal Crisis" within the title, it does not mean it's using (or is related to) the "real" Eternal Crisis game that is in design. In fact, the mods/maps are not based on the real version of the game being designed. Using the Eternal Crisis name within the titles helps share whom designed the maps/mods.
